Recognising the challenges facing overseas students,   a group of concerned local people raised the money to purchase 94 Leicester Road from the County Council in 1967, to provide accommodation for overseas students studying in Loughborough. They developed the house into one and two person self contained fully furnished flats and managed the Centre until 2002. Following a series of congenial discussions and negotiations, all the assets of the International Centre (Loughborough) Ltd, including the house and a substantial cash balance, were transferred to the Circuit (actually, the property is held by the Trustees for Methodist Church Purposes as Custodian Trustees,  and the Circuit Meeting is the Managing Trustee.)

The flats are let on an assured shorthold tenancy basis.
